Due to the way that the AKA mobile app displays YouTube videos, the Google Play Store has recently removed the app. Weare working diligently to get the app approved and place back into the app store.

However, the app is still available for download and installation by using the instructions below. Since it is not in the Google Play Store, the app will not install without updating specific settings on your Google device. Depending on which version of Android your phone is using, there are separate methods to update this setting. (How to Determine your Android Version)

Please note that it is safe to download and install apps that are not in the Google Store as long as they are from trusted sources (such as AKA). For more information about installing apps from unknown sources, click here.

Android Version 8 or higher

• Download the AKA app (APK) on your Android phone or tablet
• Once the download finishes, tap Open or Install on the file
• You’ll get a popup saying this app (or phone) doesn’t have permission to install apps from an unknown source. Tap Settings to grant it permission
• Flip to switch to ON where it says “allow from this source”
• Hit the back arrow to restart the process, and select Install to get started

Android Version 7 or lower

• Navigate to Setting > Security on your Android Device. (Note: Your security settings may be labeled something other than just "Security" but it should have the word "security" in the title.)
• Check the option Unknown sources.
• Tap OK on the prompt message.
• Select Trust or OK (or whatever the confirmation button is).
• Download the AKA app (APK) on your Android phone or tablet
• Once the download finishes, tap Open or Install on the file
