Pi Tau Omega Celebrates Juneteenth

All events were linked with Excellence Program Target initiatives. The Juneteenth Virtual Scavenger Hunt encouraged participants to answer questions tied to the rich heritage of Southfield African Americans dating as far back as the 1860s. The Juneteenth Economic focus (Target 3) asked participants to support black-owned businesses during the week totaling $5,545. A 5K Virtual Walk (Target 2) garnered more than 451,000 steps, giving the community a safe way to participate in the Mayor’s Juneteenth 5K Walk. During the Mayor’s Walk the chapter collected shoes and eyeglasses for Target 5.
