Psi Kappa Omega Supports Poverty Initiatives

BATTLE CREEK, MI - Sorors have learned that some women experience depression, feelings of shame, embarrassment and disappointment because of a lack of access to feminine hygiene products due to financial constraints. One in four women struggles with the inability to purchase these supplies. Women report missing work, school, or similar events due to lack of access to feminine hygiene products.

NOVI, MI - Omega Epsilon Omega Chapter’s Target IV - The Arts! Committee, led by our Vice President and Program Chairman, Alberta Britton held an Art Supply Drive to support the Novi Public Library’s Teen Advisory Board and Art in STEM to benefit the Novi Rotary Foundation’s Feed the Need Program during the entire month of May 2021. Members donated 9,054 pieces of art supplies that will benefit hundreds of students who participate in the Novi Rotary Foundation's Feed the Need Novi Summer Program.

Eta Iota Omega Secures $100,000 for COVID-19 Health Initiatives

October 10, 2021

INKSTER, MI - Eta Iota Omega Chapter was awarded the Wayne County Health Catalyst Grant in the amount $100,000 from the Wayne County Health, Human, and Veteran Services. The Wayne County Health Catalyst Grant supports county partners who help educate, inform and help the community. This year the grantor awarded 6 community partners with the specific grant amounts. Eta Iota Omega Chapter will be utilizing the funds to implement COVID-19 awareness and community health initiatives for the Inkster community to include vaccine programming, guest speakers, health clinics and more. This is the largest grant to date that the chapter has received.

Xi Epsilon Omega Chapter HBCU Scholarship Award

AMHERST, NY – Xi Epsilon Omega Chapter awarded its first “HBCU For Life” Scholarship of $1,500 to Janiya Croxie, a 2020 graduate of Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts High School in Buffalo, NY. Janiya attends North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC. She is majoring in Mass Communication/Multimedia Journalism and is looking forward to her HBCU experience.
