Madam Regional Director Receives Eastern Michigan University Alumni Award

“The Distinguished Alumni Award is given to alumni who have achieved extraordinary distinction in their chosen field, demonstrated unusual service to others, and maintained a continuing interest in Eastern Michigan University.” As a Director at Henry Ford Health Systems and her service as Regional Director of the Great Great Lakes Region of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, Carrie’s service makes her the ideal candidate for such an honor.

In his closing remarks, EMU alum and Fox 2 News Anchor Josh Lad used terms like “shining stars,” “very deserving,” and “excellence” to describe the award recipients. Members of the Great Lakes already know that Carrie is allof these things and so much more, but how wonderful it is to see others stop and notice the jewel that we have among us. Congratulations, Madam Regional Director, and a job well done on a much deserved recognition.
