Bonnie Murdah was initiated into the Omega Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and has been a member of the sorority since 1981. In 1983, she became a charter member of Rho Theta Omega Chapter in Philadelphia and became the chapter’s second president in 1985. Following her term as president, Ms. Murdah became the charter president of The Ivy Legacy Foundation which is still in existence and thriving.

Over the past 35 years, Ms. Murdah has served in numerous elected and appointed offices in her chapter, including basileus, parliamentarian for several chapter presidents, Program Co-Chair, Bylaw Committee Chair and Fundraising Committee Member.

In 1997, Ms. Murdah became a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP). She was the founding member and first president of the Delaware Valley Unit of Parliamentarians in Philadelphia, PA. Bonnie is currently a Professional Registered (PRP) member with the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) and a regular member of the American Institute of Parliamentarians (AIP).

Bonnie is a committed worker and always willing to serve. She has served on various Boards in Philadelphia, in the Eastern Area, and nationally as well.

She is happily married and is a retired school teacher. Ms. Murdah has two children and four grandchildren. Her daughter, Adrienne E. Murdah, also is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
