International Treasurer

Gayle Miles-Scott is a Life Member who has been active for more than 35 years. She was initiated into Beta Omega Chapter in Kansas City, MO and is currently a member of Beta Sigma Omega Chapter in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Ms. Miles-Scott has held a number of positions on the local, regional and international level. She proudly holds the distinction of serving as the first treasurer of her chapter’s foundation, BSO Ivy Foundation.

On the international level, she is the immediate past Chairman of the Financial Officers Certification Committee, a position she held for eight years. She authored the Financial Officers Certification Guide and Financial Program. Ms. Miles-Scott also served on the International Finance Committee for four years.

Ms. Miles-Scott is a retired college professor. She remains the only African-American to retire with emeritus status from the Accounting Department at the University of Central Oklahoma. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Spelman College, majoring in piano and organ performance and a Master of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Clark-Atlanta University. She is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Ms. Miles-Scott is a member of Prospect Baptist Church. She has one daughter, who is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha and two grandchildren.
